Mocean Kayaks at Dragonfly

We’re an authorized Mocean dealer, and we carry the Scout, Scout XC, Ace, and Ranger at the shop at 704 Coho Way in Squalicum Harbor, Bellingham. Demos are available, so you can try one on the water before you buy.

All models come in a red, white, or blue deck with a white hull.

Not sure which one fits? Here’s the quick version: Scout is the widest, Scout XC has the biggest cockpit with room to stretch out or bring a dog, Ace is lighter and quicker, and Ranger is the longest for covering distance.

Meet Scout

The Mocean Scout is a 12-foot kayak that’s easy to paddle, easy to carry, and comfortable enough to stay in all day. It’s 29 inches wide, so it feels steady under you but still turns when you ask it to, which makes it a good fit whether you’re brand new to paddling or have been at it for years.

The cockpit is roomy, with plenty of legroom. The foot pedals adjust easily, and so does the molded seat, so you can set it up to fit you and not the other way around.

At 46 lbs, it’s light enough to load on a car and carry to the water without a fight. Two big storage compartments, deck bungees, and a paddle clip keep your gear within reach and out of the way, so it works for a quick afternoon paddle or an overnight trip.

Meet Ace

The Mocean Ace is a 12-foot kayak that’s light, quick, and built to hold up. At 42 lbs, it’s easy to carry to the water, and at 24.5 inches wide it’s narrower than the Scout, so it moves faster. It’s still a good fit for new paddlers as well as experienced ones.

You can paddle it all day in comfort. The foot pedals adjust, and the seat is molded and adjustable too. There are two big hatches for gear, along with deck bungees, gear tracks, and a paddle clip, so you can bring what you need and keep it handy.

Meet Ranger

The Ranger is a 14'6" light-touring kayak that sits between a recreational kayak and a full sea kayak. It’s steady enough for newer paddlers, and it’s quick and responsive enough that experienced paddlers will enjoy it too.

The hull is built to feel secure sitting still and when you lean it into a turn, so it tracks straight and carves confidently in a wide range of conditions. The longer waterline helps when you’re covering distance or paddling in more open water. The cockpit is roomy, so getting in and out is easy, which makes it a great pick for relaxed day paddles.

It’s set up for adventure, too: perimeter deck lines, two bulkheads, deck bungees, retractable carry handles, a 6" forward day hatch, a retractable skeg, and an optional rudder.

Meet Scout XC

The Scout XC is a 12-foot kayak with an extended cockpit, 48 inches long and 19 inches wide. That gives you extra legroom, room to stretch out, and space to bring a dog along if your pup is a paddler.

It’s steady and still responds well, so it handles changing conditions with confidence. The foot pedals adjust easily, and so does the molded seat, which makes it comfortable for hours whether you’re a seasoned paddler or just getting started.

At 44 lbs, it’s easy to carry and launch. Two extra-large storage compartments, deck bungees, and a paddle clip keep your gear organized, so it works for a daytime paddle or an overnight trip.
